It’s no secret that the internet is an incredibly powerful marketing tool.
In fact, the average person spends 6 hours on the internet EVERY SINGLE DAY. Regardless of your audience, I can guarantee they are hanging out on a social platform, an internet search engine, checking their email, or all of the above.
Now, imagine how much content those users see in their 6 hours of scrolling on the internet.
They see hundreds of social posts, websites, emails, and forms. They interact with different businesses, some of which are like yours. The challenge is making YOUR brand stand out.
One of the most valuable pieces of your brand is your Call To Action (CTA). This is where you ask your audience to DO SOMETHING.
Without a CTA, your post, website, or email becomes part of their mindless scrolling. Your audience is busy thinking about what they’re making for dinner, the errands they need to run, and the show they want to binge on Netflix. Your brand doesn’t catch their attention if there isn’t something to act on.
Here are 3 of my favorite CTAs that I love to integrate into my brand and the brands of my clients:
Ask a direct question. Invite your audience to give their feedback or their opinion. People love to talk about themselves.
Invite your audience to click on a link. Direct them to your website, a newsletter, a product, etc. Tell them EXACTLY where to find the link and why they should click on it.
Tell your audience to leave their email in exchange for a free piece of information. You get emails added to your network, and they get something tangible that helps establish you as an expert. (Make sure they ACTUALLY get the item you promised and make sure you follow up with more emails to keep them hooked.)
PRO TIP: Your CTAs will evolve as your audience grows with you. Keep trying new things until you figure out what works for YOUR following. (For example, I’m trying a new CTA at the end of this email!)
That’s it! Ensure you integrate clear, concise CTAs across all your brand platforms. Every time your audience interacts with your brand, they should be asked to do something!
Goodbye to the days of mindlessly scrolling past your content. Hello to a growing following and increased brand awareness!
