First things first, a landing page is not a website.
A landing page is a simple way to advertise your products and services.
It doesn’t have a header or footer like a website, but it can be just as effective if planned and created correctly.
Landing pages are the perfect opportunity to showcase your awesomeness, build trust in your brand, and seal the deal with an unbeatable offer.
So what’s the catch?
Your landing page needs to include a few specific elements to show your audience exactly why they should spend their money on your brand and not the next one in their Google search.
Taking a little extra time to add these finer details will pay off majorly in the long run. (Take it from me. I’ve built so many I could build one in my sleep at this point!)
Here are four simple things to include on your landing page to maximize sales:
A clear value proposition.
I like to use the KISS strategy for this one. Keep it stupid simple. Your audience doesn’t want to read an essay about your brand. They want to know exactly how you can help them in as few words as possible.
PRO TIP: Take your value proposition and throw it into ChatGPT to see if it can help you simplify it and spice it up but don’t get too complicated. Just tell people EXACTLY what you do or sell.
One simple call to action.
CTA buttons should be all over your page, but they should all lead to the same outcome. Too many different choices and people will get distracted and or confused.
Your users shouldn’t have to search for how to spend their money. (And most won’t. They’ll move on.)
Relevant social proof.
Showcase a testimonial of your products or services. Show your audience why other people love your brand. This builds trust in what you provide.
Consider adding video content.
Research shows the top 30% of landing pages have a quick video that plays when someone enters the page. Showing your face helps your audience connect with you.
Take a minute to check if your landing page has all these items. If not, take some time to update it. Better yet, join me live at noon CT in my Facebook Group to work alongside me to update a landing page. I can answer your questions in the chat as we work. See you soon!
