Keep It Stupid Simple (How to create a best-in-class user experience)
A formula to creating the BEST user experience
I’ve been talking about user experience non stop lately, but it’s for a good reason:
A top-notch user experience is one of the most important pieces to having a successful brand!
Your strategy for creating a great user experience doesn’t have to be complicated to get the results you’re looking for. In fact, it’s better if it’s NOT complicated.
The best user experiences are the brands who make it so stupid simple to interact with that you can’t help but want more.
They talk to you like humans on every channel, EVEN when they’re trying to sell you something. Their content never feels too “sales-y”.
Their landing pages have ONE main message and immediately tell the user EXACTLY what they should do at the very top of the page. Users are never confused about what their next step is or what the brand is offering.
What happens when a user reaches your landing page?
Here’s my simple four step formula to building a successful landing page that makes users excited:
Start with a specific and actionable headline. Make sure this is eye catching. Users shouldn’t need to scroll for this information. This headline should include your offer AND a direct CTA.

Add in a solid positioning statement to describe your product/service. (Hint: it’s not about you. It’s about how you can help your target audience.)
Paint a picture of what it’s like to work with you or buy your product or service. Tell your users EXACTLY what they’re getting and why it’s better than similar brands.
Don’t hide your price or your personality! No one likes surprises here.
That’s it! Take a look at your landing page right now. Does it have all these components or could it use some tweaking? Taking the time to fix it now will pay off in the long run!
