My Top 4 SEO Tips - If you're not doing anything else, do these!
4 Simple ways to grow your search ranking AND attract your audience.
SEO is the name of the game when it comes to attracting the right people.
You might have the best products and services in the world, but if your audience can’t find you, they won’t be able to use what you have to offer. Whether you have a storefront or your business lives in the digital landscape, great SEO is one of the best ways to stay competitive.
A strong SEO strategy ensures that your website appears at the top of the search list. Who doesn’t want that?!
Great SEO also improves user experience (and you know my feelings on a good used experience…). It helps keep people on your site longer and increases the chances they’ll invest in what you have to offer.
But HOW do you create a strong SEO strategy? Great question. That’s what I’m here for. 😉
Here are my top 4 SEO strategy basics. If you don’t do anything else, at least do these:
Make sure your website is rich in keywords.
Fun verbiage and clever puns are great for showing your voice, but they won’t help customers FIND you. Do some market research to figure out what specific terms your audience is searching for. (Tools like SE Ranking, Semrush, or Moz are great for this!)
PRO TIP: As trends change, so do keywords. Make sure you’re doing research regularly to stay up to date with current searches.
Optimize structure and on-page elements.
Make sure your website's title tags, meta descriptions, URLs, and headings are up to date. Create a clear website structure that allows visitors and search engines to navigate your site easily. This builds an understanding of the context and relevance of your content.
Optimize your site for mobile devices.
Over 60% of website searches are done on mobile devices. If your site isn’t optimized for mobile, Google will ding you and drop your ranking down.
Monitor and analyze your website's performance.
Regularly review your website's analytics to track your SEO efforts, then actually use that data to make improvements. It’s also helpful to look at high-ranking competitors to see what you can learn from them to help your own strategy.
SEO doesn’t have to be overly complicated. A few simple tweaks can make huge improvements in your visibility online, but growth takes time. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen overnight!
